Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical unit, specializing in acute care for adult patients. This role requires recent experience in med-surg settings, providing high-quality nursing care across a busy hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical unit, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient conditions regularly, interpreting vital signs and clinical data to assess status.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health management.
• Document patient progress accurately within electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and minimum of 2 years recent experience in a med-surg or acute care environment.
• Possess current AHA BLS certification.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Availability to work a 7P-7A schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to work on major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s) and one minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve).
