Our therapists work remotely from the comfort of their homes, utilizing telemedicine technologies to connect with clients across San Diego, California. You will be part of a supportive interdisciplinary team focused on delivering quality mental health care.

Key Responsibilities\n

Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities that ensure our clients receive comprehensive care. Specific tasks include:

• Consulting with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive treatment plans are in place for clients.

• Conducting age-appropriate assessments and interventions that cater to the individual needs of clients.
\n
• Facilitating parent support groups and creating safe therapeutic environments, especially for families dealing with the complexities of adoption and children prenatally exposed to substances.

• Carrying out developmental evaluations for children to assess their mental, emotional, and social development.
\n
• Planning and delivering training sessions for clients, social workers, attorneys, judges, educators, and other mental health professionals on relevant topics.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with adults, children, and adolescents, allowing you to impact diverse populations. Your expertise in family therapy will be crucial in supporting coupled dynamics, child development, and family systems, tailored to each client’s unique challenges and histories.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
\n
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential for this role.

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a clinical setting is mandatory.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience working in outpatient settings and familiarity with telehealth methodologies are preferred. Additionally, experience with prenatal substance exposure cases will make a positive impact on your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Vitalize Behavioral Health offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 – 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience. We provide a comprehensive benefits package including flexible work hours (30+ hours per week), telemedicine options, and in-person session flexibility.
