Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Psychologist working with students in both an elementary and middle school setting. Situated in the vibrant Washington DC metro area just south of the city, this full-time role (37.5 hours per week) offers a dynamic workweek with primarily on-site responsibilities, and the flexibility for a 4/1 hybrid schedule—one remote day per week.

In this role, you will focus on assessment and consultation, offering Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) support, and collaborating occasionally with teams supporting Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). While the majority of your work centers on assessments and professional consultation, there may also be occasional opportunities to assist social workers with counseling. Educational diagnosticians are present in each building, so you will not be responsible for academic achievement testing.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active VA Department of Education Certification (School Psychologist)
• Current Virginia Psychology Licensure
• Experience in school settings, with assessment, consultation, and FBA/BIP process expertise
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support MTSS initiatives
• Willingness to complete VA Dept. of Social Services background check and TB test promptly

Responsibilities:

• Conduct student psychological assessments and provide behavioral consultations
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and social workers
• Develop and support implementation of BIPs and FBAs
• Contribute expertise to the MTSS process when needed
• Maintain clear documentation and foster positive communication with school teams
