Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time contract position is ideal for experienced School Psychologists eager to provide assessment and consultation for a diverse student population across both elementary and middle school levels. The role primarily involves assessment, consultation, FBA/BIP support, and occasional collaboration on MTSS. Candidates may also occasionally collaborate with social workers for counseling, although this occurs less frequently.

Enjoy a balanced schedule, either fully on-site or with up to one remote workday per week in a hybrid (4/1) arrangement, covering two schools in the northern part of the district. Hours are set from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, totaling 37.5 hours weekly for the full school year.

Qualifications:

• Active Virginia Department of Education (VA DOE) School Psychologist certification required
• Current Virginia Psychologist licensure
• Experience performing student assessments, FBA/BIP, and providing consultation in school settings
• Quick adaptability to start time-sensitive credentialing processes, including the VA Dept. of Social Services check and TB testing
• Skilled at collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting MTSS frameworks

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive student assessments and consultations
• Provide FBA/BIP support and participate in behavioral intervention planning
• Collaborate with educators, social workers, and administrators to foster student success
• Serve both elementary and middle school caseloads, with no academic achievement testing required due to the presence of Ed Diags in each building
