Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Take your expertise in school psychology to an engaging contract opportunity supporting students across both an elementary and a middle school in the vibrant northern Stafford region, just a short drive from Washington, DC. This full-time opening runs from August 3, 2026 to May 26, 2027, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours (8:00 AM – 3:30 PM). The role focuses primarily on assessment and consultation services, functional behavior assessments/behavior intervention plan support, and collaboration within MTSS frameworks. While some counseling support alongside social workers may be needed, academic achievement testing is handled separately, freeing you to focus on impactful psychological services.

You'll work on-site a majority of the week, with the flexibility for a hybrid 4/1 schedule—enjoy up to one day per week working remotely. Collaboration and consultation will be key as you liaise with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to student plans, and support the learning and well-being of diverse age groups.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Virginia DOE Certification
• Active Virginia Psychologist Licensure
• Ability to complete a Virginia Department of Social Services background check promptly
• Negative TB Test (Virginia requirement)
• Prior school-based experience, particularly in assessment, FBA/BIPs, and MTSS, is highly valued
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychoeducational assessments for elementary and middle school students
• Provide consultation to teachers, parents, and staff
• Offer guidance on and help develop FBAs/BIPs
• Participate as part of crisis intervention and school support teams
• Support MTSS interventions and occasionally collaborate on counseling
