Position Summary : The Human Resources Generalist will provide temporary HR coverage during a planned leave of absence and serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers. This individual will support a variety of HR functions, including payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, employee relations, leave administration, and day-to-day HR operations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities will include :

1. Coordinate and manage the hiring process, including creating and maintaining job postings, pre-screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and overseeing new-hire orientation and onboarding. 
2. Process payroll and manage payroll benefit transactions for new hires, terminating employees, and employee status changes, ensuring all information is accurate and processed in a timely manner.
3. Maintain accurate computerized employee database, and provide information related to employment & benefits.
4. Communicate with worker’s compensation insurance with regards to injury and maintain company OSHA log.
5. Assist in company event planning.
6. Manage employee communication via electronic company community board.
7. Manage annual performance review process by communicating deadlines with management, providing timely reminders, and tracking completion to ensure reviews are completed on schedule.
8. Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters, addressing employee concerns, supporting managers with workplace issues, and ensuring consistent and effective resolution
9. Other duties as assigned.

  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Requires a bachelor's degree in a business field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and practices. Requires excellent communication skills and computer literacy.

3-5 years of human resources experience preferred. Proficiency with electronic communication and Microsoft Office Suite. Proven problem-solving ability with productive curiosity. Good listening skills. Strong time management/organizational skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret data without losing sight of how details affect the bigger picture. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
