The Medical Receptionist Medical Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring smooth clinical and administrative operations within a small medical support team. Reporting directly to the Medical Director, this position combines patient-facing responsibilities with essential office coordination tasks, supporting both clinical and administrative functions. Occasional travel to other clinics is expected, and the role offers opportunities for career advancement alongside ongoing training and certification support.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients efficiently and courteously
• Schedule and manage patient appointments
• Maintain and update accurate medical records and data entry
• Process insurance claims and verify insurance information
• Communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff
• Assist with basic clinical procedures as needed
• Support billing activities and office coordination
• Manage inventory of medical and office supplies

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in medical administration
• Associate degree in Medical Assisting or related field
• Proficiency in patient scheduling and medical terminology
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
• Knowledge of insurance verification processes
• Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills
• Familiarity with basic clinical procedures and data entry
• Fluency in Spanish is preferable
