Sr. Quality Engineer

Sr. Quality EngineerInsight Global is seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer to join the QA team at an Insurance company. This role is responsible for functional and automation testing of the business applications. We are looking for an innovative software quality engineer who can design and execute test plans for full stack features, build quality gates and continuously improve our testing practices. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain automated test suites across different applications, working closely with Developers, Functional Analysts, Product Owners and Project Managers to ensure reliable, high-quality releases.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Work in an agile, small team environment with a focus on speed and qualityContribute to test planning efforts and development of comprehensive test strategies by applying right testing techniques.Design, develop, and maintain complex, reusable test automation scripts to enable faster regression/delivery cycles.Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality objectives, requirements and contribute to delivering business value incrementally.Perform manual and automated testing to ensure alignment with software requirements, risk assessments, and quality standardsPerform backend validation, webservices, and API testing using appropriate toolsMaintain and improve quality engineering, functional, technical and professional skills and knowledge through continuous learning based on industry standards.Identify system dependencies, test environments, integrations, tools and utilities needed for testing based on release/sprint goals.Review Automation test coverage and plan to increase/maintain coverage as enhancements are being implemented in each release.
