Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions either in-home or at our outpatient facility, addressing the unique needs of each client.

• Implement evidence-based strategies for anger management, social skills training, and behavioral interventions to mitigate high-risk actions, including self-injurious behavior and aggression.

• Enhance decision-making skills among youth and caregivers to effectively tackle in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and professionals from various disciplines to strategize and implement comprehensive care plans.
\n
• Ensure timely submission of all required documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, while complying with organizational policies.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, sharing insights and making recommendations to improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with children and adolescents aged 3-20 who present with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Your role will directly impact these individuals' lives by assisting them in achieving their therapeutic goals and fostering a healthier home environment. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field.

• A current and unrestricted LMFT license in New York State.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours between 4 PM and 7 PM, with weekend flexibility regarded as a plus.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for transportation to and from client appointments.
\n
• Completion of a criminal background check, which includes fingerprinting, as part of the hiring process.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience in providing positive behavior support and therapeutic interventions.

• Prior experience working with children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
