Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join our dedicated team at Pediatric Plus Health Group in Silver Spring, Maryland. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and document findings within the electronic health record system, ensuring accurate medical histories are captured for each patient.
• Deliver preventative care, including but not limited to immunizations, health education, and screenings, in line with pediatric guidelines and recommendations.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests and imaging studies, using the results to develop effective treatment plans tailored to each child’s needs.
• Administer therapeutic procedures such as injections and wound care, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
• Maintain timely documentation in accordance with legal and regulatory standards, including writing orders and progress notes for physician review.
• Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and engage in regular continuing education to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and assist in crisis management as required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and refer patients to specialists as needed.
• Support management by identifying opportunities for process improvement within clinical workflows.
• Travel to other organization sites to support team needs when necessary.
• Participate in community outreach and clinic involvement that align with our mission to improve pediatric health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily care for infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring a patient-centered approach that respects the unique needs of every child and family. Your responsibilities will include educating parents and guardians about important health issues impacting children, from nutrition and development to preventive measures and family planning services.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Pediatric Nurse Practitioner training.
• Current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) and an active RN license in Maryland.
• Clinical experience in pediatrics or a related field, demonstrating proficiency in child health assessments and interventions.
• Strong analytical skills and judgment, particularly in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing effective collaboration within a diverse team.
• Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is preferred to better serve our community.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated success in managing pediatric patients in various scenarios, including chronic health issues and acute conditions.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and their effective use in clinical practice.

Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation package includes a salary range of USD 131,000 to 150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
