Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite, primarily within the homes of our pediatric patients in Silver Spring and surrounding areas. Our home care model allows Nurse Practitioners to closely interact with families, implementing care strategies that promote wellness in a familiar environment. Working Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, the schedule allows for a work-life balance while ensuring comprehensive care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, diagnose conditions, formulate treatment plans, and implement medical care protocols in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Utilize your full scope of practice to deliver quality care, which includes patient evaluation, ongoing management, and education for both patients and their families.
• Develop and execute interdisciplinary care plans that incorporate the psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, and economic factors affecting each patient’s health.
• Maintain strong lines of communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care transitions.
• Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations, organization policies, and best practices to uphold the highest standards in patient care delivery.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay abreast of advancements in pediatric nursing practice.
• Follow standardized procedures and protocols, especially those specific to home care nursing within Maryland.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve children with a wide variety of health concerns, from routine check-ups to more complex medical conditions. Your holistic approach ensures that you consider not only the physical health of your patients but also their emotional and social well-being. You will work closely with families to empower them in managing their child’s healthcare needs effectively.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Master’s degree in Nursing, ideally with a specialization in pediatrics.
• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner recognized at the national level (NP-Nurse Practitioner). Licensure to practice in Maryland is required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• CREDENTIALS: CPNP (Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner) preferred.

Preferred Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant clinical experience, with a strong emphasis on pediatrics and home care settings.
• Experience managing diverse pediatric health issues and engaging with their families on care strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 126,000 to 150,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive compensation, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
