Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical and nursing care to pediatric patients with various acute and chronic health issues, emphasizing family-centered care.
• Conduct complete or focused physical examinations to assess the health status of patients and identify any concerns.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, using the results to create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Refer patients to specialists and coordinate care with other health professionals as necessary, including physical therapists, nutritionists, and educational professionals.
• Develop in-school management plans for patients, addressing specific educational or behavioral needs in collaboration with educators and parents.
• Provide dietary, activity/exercise, and counseling recommendations that promote health and well-being within your scope of practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
• Initiate and carry out further medical procedures according to established protocols and collaborative decision-making with supervising physicians.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with children from birth through young adulthood, which requires you to maintain an in-depth understanding of pediatric healthcare trends, childhood development, and preventative care practices. The focus is on promoting health in a supportive family environment while addressing common pediatric issues, ranging from wellness checks to the management of chronic ailments.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Possession of an advanced degree in nursing, either a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland.
• Successful completion of a nurse practitioner program that meets the Board’s educational standards.
• Current certification by a nationally recognized board (e.g., American Nurses Credentialing Center, Pediatric Nursing Certification Board).
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) if applicable for inpatient settings.
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of pediatric nursing experience, ideally in a similar setting.
• Experience in an assisted living or similar facility is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this full-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner position is competitive, starting at USD 126,000, with the potential to earn up to USD 150,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer a broad range of benefits that include:
