Off Shift Supervisor RN, 24 Hours, (Evenings, Every 3rd Weekend)

Position Summary The Off-Shift Nurse Manager ( OSNM ) is a professional nurse who functions as both an administrative and clinical leader to ensure patient-focused care consistent with the hospital mission, department goals, policies, protocols & procedures, regulatory requirements, and established standards of practice. The primary responsibilities include the coordination, direct supervision, and evaluation of personnel and nursing care, as well as management of fiscal and other resources during off-shifts, weekends and holidays. Position: Off Shift Supervisor RN; Department: OSNM; Schedule: 24 Hours, Evenings, Every 3rd Weekend (7a - 7p). Responsibilities Coordinate and supervise nursing staff during off-shifts, weekends, and holidays. Evaluate personnel performance and nursing care quality. Manage fiscal resources and other departmental resources. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Conduct quality improvement projects and manage budgets. Job Requirements – Education & Credentials Graduation from an accredited baccalaureate nursing program; MSN preferred. Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Basic cardiac life support certification required; ACLS preferred. Job Requirements – Experience & Skills 3-5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in recent clinical nursing practice. Demonstrated management ability and organizational skill to set priorities and complete work efficiently. Strong analytical ability to solve clinical nursing issues. Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Basic computer proficiency, including data entry in computerized information systems. Physical ability to perform core job responsibilities in accordance with the setting demands for patient populations regularly served. Compensation & Benefits Compensation Range: $46.88 - $68.03 per hour. This range reflects a minimum estimate based on job qualifications. Base pay considers education, experience, skills, certifications, internal equity, and market competitiveness.
