Registered Nurse, Med Surge 36 Hours rotating Day/Nights (Every 3rd Weekend)

Position Registered Nurse – BMC Brighton B-7 (36 hours, rotating day/night) Position Summary As an RN on B-7, the Surgical/Stepdown (PCC level) unit, you will play an integral role in delivering patient‑centered care to surgical patients across a variety of specialties. The 30‑bed unit requires a skilled nursing staff; candidates will work with educators and a preceptor to ensure robust orientation and training. Job Responsibilities Deliver nursing care: assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate, and educate patients. Communicate with health‑care team members, patients, and families. Coordinate and delegate patient‑care activities to inter‑professional colleagues. Update and manage patient records; enter and interpret computerized data. Follow BMC nursing guidelines and policies. Assist leadership in quality improvement projects as needed. Job Requirements Licensed RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Diploma, ASN, or BSN; ability to obtain a BSN within 4 years. 1+ years RN experience preferred; Med‑Surg experience preferred. BLS and ACLS certifications required within 90 days of hire; NIHSS certificate preferred. PCC certification preferred; PCC training will be offered. Telemetry experience preferred. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Physical ability to meet job responsibilities. Basic computer proficiency. Fluency in another language a plus. Job Benefits Competitive pay. Base pay is determined by education, experience, licensure, certifications, and other factors.
