Job Description

We are seeking a Part Time Junior Staff Accountant to support accounting operations across multiple entities within a communications agency environment.\nThis role requires someone who can operate with a high level of accuracy, organization, and ownership, particularly in situations where processes may not always be fully defined.\nThe ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to track and close tasks independently, while communicating clearly with internal teams and external stakeholders.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nCore Accounting\n•\tMaintain cashbook and perform bank reconciliations\n•\tManage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes\n•\tRecord transactions accurately in NetSuite (or similar ERP)\nInvoicing & Revenue\n•\tPrepare and issue client invoices, including expense recharges\n•\tBuild detailed supporting schedules for all invoices\n•\tEnsure full audit trail and documentation for all billed amounts\nIntercompany & Project Accounting\n•\tHandle intercompany transactions and reconciliations\n•\tWork with internal teams to ensure proper cost allocation and tracking\n•\tMaintain and update internal trackers (expenses, project costs, etc.)\nMonth-End Close\n•\tSupport month-end close activities\n•\tPrepare account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies\n•\tEnsure all items are tracked and completed on time\nCommunication & Follow-up\n•\tManage accounting-related communications with internal teams and external stakeholders\n•\tFollow up on outstanding items proactively\n•\tEscalate issues when needed to ensure deadlines are met\nKey Expectations\n•\tStrong attention to detail and accuracy\n•\tAbility to manage multiple tasks and follow through to completion\n•\tClear and consistent communication\n•\tMaintain organized documentation and audit trails\n•\tProactive in identifying and resolving issues\n\nFlexibility on scheduling and could accommodate full 8-hour days Tuesday through Thursday or shorter 4-hour days, depending on candidate availability.\n\nCompensation: $20 - $25/hour Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
