Shape young lives as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive early childhood setting! This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful difference for PreK learners at multiple sites, with placements thoughtfully matched to your expertise. You'll work closely with a caseload of 10–20 students, collaborating with a dedicated team that values innovation, compassion, and positive outcomes.
Beginning August 2026 and concluding in late May 2027, this full-time position runs weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing both structure and valuable impact throughout the academic year. With two openings available, your commitment and enthusiasm will help shape the foundation for student growth in an inclusive environment.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification relevant to early childhood and/or PreK populations
- Prior experience supporting diverse learners in school-based settings, preferably early childhood or elementary
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with families, support staff, and general education teachers
- Dedication to individualized instruction, IEP development, and implementing evidence-based interventions
- Flexibility to travel between sites within the district as needed
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and welcoming classroom communities
What you’ll do:
- Provide direct instruction and support for PreK students with a range of needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Utilize data-driven strategies to monitor student progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic student support
- Engage families and caregivers as key partners in each child's success
