Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference in the lives of preschoolers as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant early childhood setting near Minturn, CO. Two dedicated professionals are needed for contract roles working across multiple sites within the district, serving children aged PreK. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification
- Experience with early childhood and PreK populations preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP process and implementation
- Solid communication skills for collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt instruction and materials for diverse learning needs
- Flexibility to support multiple sites as assigned based on strengths
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, individualized instruction in accordance with IEP goals
- Foster an inclusive, nurturing classroom that encourages each child’s potential
- Assess and track student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Partner with families to support student achievement and growth
- Create strategies for positive behavior management and classroom routines
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
In this rewarding assignment, you’ll work a Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm schedule (40 hours per week) from August 2026 through May 2027, supporting a manageable caseload of 10-20 students. Compensation for this opportunity will be $82.58 per hour, reflecting the value of your skills and dedication.
