As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll work full-time from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, serving a caseload of 10-20 students. Your assignments will be tailored according to your strengths, allowing you to provide specialized instruction where your skills are needed most.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience with early childhood or PreK populations preferred
- Comfortable with a caseload of diverse learners, adapting instruction accordingly
- Strong IEP development and implementation abilities
- Collaborative approach, skilled at working with fellow educators, support staff, and families
- Committed to creating an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to PreK students with varied needs
- Develop and monitor IEPs, ensuring compliance and meaningful progress for each child
- Employ evidence-based practices and differentiated instruction
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and administrators
- Maintain open communication with families, providing updates and support
- Participate in professional development and school-based meetings
- Rotate across multiple school locations within the district based on your expertise
This contract position runs from August 2026 to late May 2027, giving you the opportunity to work regular school hours while making a difference in an engaging setting. Compensation for this role is highly competitive at $82.58 per hour, reflecting the value of your commitment and skill.
