Ascenteum is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a greenfield Aladdin programme at MassMutual. This is a long-term engagement, open to Corp to Corp or 1099 contractors only.

The role \n

Investmenet Manager is starting a greenfield programme built around BlackRock Aladdin and needs a Project Manager who can take it from the early planning stages through to delivery. You will sit between the front office, technology and the vendor, so you need to be as comfortable talking to portfolio managers and traders as you are running a plan.

\n

Because the programme has recently started - you will help shape how it runs: the plan, the governance and the way the teams work together. The engagement is long term, with consistent work expected well beyond the initial phase.

Key responsibilities \n

•   Own the project plan end to end, covering scope, milestones, dependencies, budget and resourcing

\n

•   Set up and run project governance for a greenfield programme, including status reporting and steering committee updates

\n

•   Work closely with front office stakeholders to capture requirements and turn them into clear, deliverable workstreams

\n

•   Coordinate across business, technology, operations, data and BlackRock teams to keep delivery on track

\n

•   Manage risks, issues and change control, escalating early and with a recommended way forward

\n

•   Oversee testing, cutover and go live planning across asset classes and investment workflows

\n

•   Keep senior stakeholders informed with clear, honest reporting on progress and risks

\n

Essential experience \n

•   Hands on BlackRock Aladdin experience, gained on an implementation or a major change programme

\n

•   Front office background, with a clear understanding of how portfolio management, trading and risk teams work day to day

\n

•   Very strong knowledge of investment products across public and private markets, including equities, fixed income, derivatives and alternatives

\n

•   Proven project management track record on large, complex investment technology programmes, ideally from the earliest stages

\n

•   Confident managing senior stakeholders and third party vendors

\n

•   Strong planning, reporting and risk management discipline, with clear written and verbal communication

\n

Desirable experience \n

•   eFront experience, particularly alongside Aladdin for private markets and alternatives

\n

•   Previous work with insurers or large asset managers

\n

•   Experience on greenfield implementations where the operating model and governance had to be built from nothing

\n

•   A recognised project management qualification such as PMP or PRINCE2

\n
