Gleam Skin Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in dermatology to join our expanding team in Austin, Texas. Work Environment

Located in the vibrant city of Austin, Texas, our outpatient facility is designed to foster a collaborative and supportive environment for healthcare providers. This onsite role allows for direct interaction with patients and healthcare staff, emphasizing teamwork in delivering high-quality care. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday, facilitating a balanced work schedule that allows for professional growth and personal well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dermatological assessments and develop tailored treatment plans, practicing within the scope as directed by the supervising physician.
• Independently see 30+ patients daily, efficiently documenting care and treatment plans in EMA, our Electronic Health Record system.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure the smooth operation of patient flow and provide leadership and guidance when needed.
• Perform essential dermatological procedures such as biopsies, excisions, and cryotherapy to address specific skin concerns effectively.
• Educate patients on skin health, treatment options, and preventive care, ensuring they are well-informed and comfortable with their care plans.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in dermatology and incorporate new practices into patient care as appropriate.
• Utilize problem-solving skills to address patient concerns and make independent clinical judgments to enhance patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner in Dermatology will provide patient-centered care to a diverse clientele, ranging from pediatric to adult patients. At Gleam Skin Wellness Center, our patients seek assistance for a wide variety of dermatological conditions, from chronic issues like acne and eczema to cosmetic concerns requiring rejuvenation treatments. A compassionate approach is vital, ensuring that each patient feels valued, understood, and cared for throughout their treatment journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, with a Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) preferred, focusing on dermatology or a relevant area.
• An active Nurse Practitioner state license to practice in Texas.
• Demonstrated ability to perform specialized dermatological procedures proficiently.
• Strong understanding of dermatology treatment protocols and related medical terminology.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective patient interactions and collaboration with medical staff.
• Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, specifically familiarity with EMA for efficient documentation and patient care management.

Preferred Experience

• At least one to two years of experience in dermatology, showing a commitment to the field and a solid understanding of skin disorders.
• Board Certification as a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner (DNP-BC) or an equivalent credential.
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage a high patient load while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and quality of care.
• A desire to engage in continuous education and training to refine skills and stay current in dermatological advancements.

Compensation and Benefits
