We are seeking a sharp, strategic Property Accounting Manager with 5 to 10 years of progressive experience to manage the fiscal oversight and operational reporting of a diverse real estate portfolio.

Must have commercial property accounting or real estate portfolio experience and deep understanding of CAM reconciliations.

Instead of processing transactions, you will serve as the primary financial liaison for the ownership group—delivering critical oversight, sophisticated analysis, and professional reporting for lenders and investors. Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for commercial real estate assets.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
• Supervise general ledger activity, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
• Review and analyze financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
• Manage CAM reconciliations, tenant billings, and expense recoveries.
• Interpret and apply commercial lease terms, including NNN and reimbursement structures
• Coordinate annual budgets and assist with forecasting and variance analysis.
• Work closely with property managers, ownership, lenders, and external accountants
• Support audits, refinancing efforts, and lender reporting requirements
• Assist in improving accounting systems, internal controls, and operational efficiencies
• Oversee third-party property management accounting and reporting where applicable.
• Mentor and support accounting staff as the company continues to grow.
• Maintain a deep, "big-picture" understanding of each asset’s financial and operational performance to provide proactive insights to leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Real Estate Portfolio Accounting, Asset Management, or a similar oversight capacity.
• Advanced proficiency in real estate accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or AppFolio) and Excel.
• Deep understanding of CAM reconciliations, lender reporting requirements, and real estate financial modeling.
