If you are someone who wants to assist in our mission and make an impact, come join our team.The Project Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records for assigned projects during construction.Essential duties include but are not necessarily limited to the following:Assistance in preparing monthly AIA/G702 & G703Review and process vendor invoices and subcontractor AIA billingsPreparation of funding request packages to be submitted to municipalities, banks or partnersPerform monthly bank statement reconciliations and general ledger entriesMeet required deadlines for timely financial reportingEnsure that a project's finances are tracked accurately and rigorouslyAssist with tax return and cost certification preparationManage subcontractor contracts and compliancesQualification requirements:Undergraduate degree required in accountingA minimum of 3 years of experience in construction accountingExperience with preparing and reviewing construction jobsExperience in Accounts Payable, Job Cost and GL reconciliationStrong work ethic with demonstrated desire to grow with a growing companyAmbitious individual for this very fun, flexible working environmentAbility to work independently and handle multiple assignmentsMust be a proficient communicator and listenerAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously with frequent interruptionsMust have a valid U.S. driver's licenseTechnical/computer skills:Excellent quantitative analysis and financial model skills (using Excel) are requiredUnderstanding of GAAP accountingMulti-Family or Low-Income Housing Tax Credit knowledge desiredJonas Premier experience preferredWorking knowledge of MS Office software programs necessaryAbility and willingness to effectively use other job-related technology toolsPhysical demands:Frequent walking, standing, sitting within the work areaDriving to/from locations for business-related purposesWork environment:The work environment is that of a fast-paced office with minimal to high noise levelsThis position requires working independently as well as part of a teamThis position requires verbal and face-to-face contact with others dailyFrequent use of a computer is necessaryThis position requires the use of all general office equipmentThe position requires client information be maintained appropriately confidential
