About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in New Orleans, Louisiana, 70121!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty required License: Compact or state license required Certifications: BLS required ACLS preferred Must-Have: Epic experience required First-time travelers accepted Description: Please ensure traveler is aware they may be assigned to an emergency team. Expectation to stay until the emergency event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific pay details for emergency events will be communicated as needed. Signing the travel contract indicates acceptance of these terms. Travelers should not apply if they are not comfortable with the above. Average daily census is 34 with a patient ratio of 1:4.8. Weekend coverage will be required every other week, totaling 6-7 shifts in a 13-week contract. Unit will float to other similar units as needed. Interdisciplinary support includes various services such as IV teams and respiratory services. The unit treats a diverse range of diagnoses including total joint surgeries and general surgery cases. General medicine overflow may be accepted with a preference for non-infectious patients. Additional skills include telemetry management and wound care. Continuous bladder irrigation and management of surgical drains are among the special procedures performed. All travelers must reside more than 65 miles from the worksite. Two years of experience in the specialty is required. References are not required for submission but will be needed to start. NURSYS reports must be up to date at the time of submission. Travelers must have separated from previous roles for at least one year before returning as a traveler. About Cynet Health
