The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.\n\n## Your Responsibilities\n\nAs a Territory Sales Manager for John Deere Construction and Forestry, located in Kansas City, MO (would also consider the Des Moines, IA, or Omaha, NE area) you will:\n\n * Serve as the primary business lead working with dealers to engage key customers, drive the sales of whole goods and attachments, coordinate with territory team members, and support local/regional events and associations.\n * Collaborate with dealers to manage sales processes and drive solutions.\n * Act as lead within the assigned territory to implement strategic initiatives with dealers.\n * Drive achievement of incoming and gross margin goals across sales targets.\n * Organize and execute input, production, and sales process training with dealers.\n * Coordinate dealer use of product consultations and sales training resources.\n\n\n\nVISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position\n\n## What Skills You Need\n\n * Experience with the Construction and/or off-road equipment industry and customer base.\n * Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated track record of building and maintaining positive working relationships.\n * Ability to understand both Deere and dealer business and apply concepts to both strategic and tactical dealer/customer conversations.\n * Creative thinker with ability to identify key issues and work with teams to solve problems using innovative solutions.\n * Strong time management, prioritization, and planning capabilities.\n * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.\n * Ability to travel up to 75% mostly within the assigned territory to work with dealers and visit customers.\n\n\n\n## What Makes You Stand Out\n\n * High level understanding of the Construction industry and products and technologies.\n * Field experience with regular customer contact and knowledge of dealer/distribution networks.\n * Experience working with larger dealer networks.\n * Understanding of customer segments, production systems, and their various requirements.\n * Proven ability to influence without authority in working with dealers and field managers.\n * Experience/skills with sales, handling objections, and effective negotiations.\n * Knowledge of Deere and dealer systems, tools, sales processes, and sales resources.\n\n\n\n## Education\n\nIdeally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree (preferably in Business Management, Marketing, or Engineering)\n\n\n\nWhat You\u0027ll Get\n\nAt John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
