Product Marketing Manager

The Role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Serve as the first marketing hire and own the go-to-market function for a consumer software product. The work spans launches, creative production, paid acquisition and organic channels, with close collaboration alongside company leadership and regular conversations with users.

What You'll Do

• Plan and run product launches, converting new releases into compelling narratives and the assets that support them.
• Create and test a steady flow of creative, including video, written pieces and visual ads, and learn what captures attention.
• Run paid acquisition experiments across several advertising platforms, review performance data, cut weak efforts and increase spend on strong ones.
• Build self-sustaining growth channels that do not rely on advertising budget, such as search, referral and partner initiatives, and community-led efforts.
• Talk with users through community channels and interviews to inform messaging.
• Partner with company leadership on positioning and go-to-market direction.

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on use of AI tools and the ability to explain complex AI products in plain, engaging language.
• Consumer product marketing background, having led a launch or grown an acquisition channel, for example from zero to one or by lowering cost per acquisition.
• Track record of launch campaigns that gained traction on major social networks.
• Practical content production and video editing skills, including short product videos.
• Ability to work on-site 5 days a week in San Francisco, CA.

Bonus Points

• Broader creative skills such as writing copy, directing video, building web pages and analyzing conversion funnels.
• Earlier experience in an early-stage company in a marketing, growth or content position.
