Role Description The Paralegal will support attorneys in all phases of correctional healthcare defense litigation in a full-time, on-site role based in Birmingham, AL. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing electronic case files , assisting with filing pleadings and coordinating with experts and witnesses. The paralegal will help maintain calendars and deadlines, prepare correspondence, prepare trial notebooks and exhibits, and support attorneys during hearings, depositions, and trial. This position requires consistent on-site collaboration with the legal team and adherence to firm protocols and confidentiality standards. Qualifications Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to organization and detail. Candidates should possess proficiency with legal case management software, Microsoft Office, and electronic filing systems like Pacer. Relevant experience as a paralegal is required. A paralegal certificate or degree in paralegal studies or a related field is beneficial. Ability to manage multiple deadlines, work collaboratively on-site, and maintain strict confidentiality is required. Excellent salary and benefits. Starting salary commensurate to experience.
