Key Responsibilities\n

• Act as a proactive point of contact with families, effectively communicating treatment goals and progress throughout the therapeutic process.

• Facilitate engaging individual, family, and group therapy sessions aligned with our clinical model and Attachment-Based Family Therapy practices.
\n
• Conduct new Family Orientations and Welcome Presentations to integrate families into our treatment process.
\n
• Effectively manage documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring timely and accurate completion per established standards.
\n
• Utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook (email and calendaring), EMR systems, and online learning platforms to maintain and share necessary documentation.
\n
• Participate actively in weekly treatment team meetings, clinical supervision sessions, and ongoing staff development meetings.
\n
• Represent Advent Health Counseling Center at external meetings, trainings, and professional conferences when required.
\n
• Independently manage your schedule to ensure the timely completion of therapeutic goals and administrative tasks.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with adolescents and young adults, addressing diverse mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges. With a strong emphasis on family involvement, you will guide clients and their families through therapeutic processes designed to promote healing, understanding, and recovery. Your role as a therapist plays a pivotal part in supporting these young individuals during critical developmental stages.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution, or current enrollment in a Doctorate program.

• Active registration as an associate or licensed professional (such as APCC, LAPC, ASW, AMFT, or MHCA) within the state of California.

• Proven experience in individual, group, or family therapy specifically targeting adolescents and young adults.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in working with mental health challenges, substance abuse, eating disorders, or trauma-informed care.

• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and family systems therapy.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary in the range of USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, with the additional opportunity for a sign-on bonus. Your compensation will also include a performance-based commission structure based on client sessions, providing further financial incentives.
