About the Role This is a full-time, on-site Controller position in Tulsa, leading our accounting, finance, and HR functions as a strategic partner to executive leadership at a growing independent oil and gas company. What You'll Do Lead all accounting operations — AP, AR, payroll, JIB, revenue accounting, and the general ledger Manage month-end and year-end close processes Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for executive leadership and the Board Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and lender reporting Coordinate tax reporting and audits Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering accountability and continuous improvement Administer payroll and employee benefits (health, dental, vision, retirement), serving as employees' go-to resource for related questions Manage company insurance programs, including general liability, auto, and workers' compensation Coordinate HR functions, including onboarding, offboarding, personnel records, compliance, and recruiting support What You Bring 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in oil and gas accounting Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA or CMA a plus Strong business control and analytical skills — internal controls, cost monitoring, variance analysis, and performance reporting Solid grounding in accounting principles, cash flow management, and investment evaluation Financial planning skills — budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial models Proficiency in Excel and Excalibur (or similar oil and gas accounting software), with the ability to pull data from multiple operational sources Clear written and verbal communication skills — you can explain complex financials to non-financial stakeholders Integrity, attention to detail, and a collaborative, on-site mindset Why Ceja?
