Sign on Bonus: Up to $5,000 for Full Time Bronson LakeView Hospital (72Hrs/Pp and above) Position Details Multiple Openings Radiologic Technologist - Full Time 80Hrs/Pp - Bronson LakeView Hospital Position Summary Performs radiographic examinations of various anatomical parts and systems of the body in order to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of physical injuries or medical disorders. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served. Qualifications Must have a minimum of one of the following: Certificate of Completion of a Hospital-based program or Associate’s degree from an accredited school of Radiology Technology Registered ARRT required or registry eligible. Registry eligible technologist must receive registry within 6 months of hire date. Employee must successfully complete BLS training course within 6 months of hire. Must be able to operate and perform basic computer programs associated with record keeping in the department Must demonstrate excellent human relation skills to deal with patients, providers and others in sometimes difficult or sensitive situations Must have a customer service orientation Must demonstrate leadership and organization skills including the ability to work independently and take initiative within established procedures Must demonstrate a positive attitude Work which produces high levels of mental/visual fatigue; ability to maintain alertness for sustained periods Involves standing or walking; regular lifting of light-weight objects (≤20 pounds) and assisting with heavier tasks (≥50 pounds) Rotational basis in several areas of radiology department, performing routine radiology examinations as well as more advanced procedures (e.g., Fluoroscopy, joint injections, lumbar/myelogram exams) Receives or escorts patients into examination area, reviews pertinent patient information; instructs patient concerning the examination; assists provider with procedures Positions patients to obtain the required results; sets up and adjusts protective devices and immobilization as needed Operates diagnostic radiographic equipment to provide optimal examinations; consults radiologist as needed Operates equipment properly; reports malfunctions or needed repairs Assists providers in administering prescribed radiolucent or radiopaque media for examinations Performs first aid as required and assists in adverse reactions to contrast media or emergencies Maintains sterile technique and cleanliness of procedure rooms and equipment Maintains accurate documentation of patient and file information Maintains appropriate supply levels in area of responsibility Demonstrates or oversees on-the-job training for student technologists and other non-professional assistants as assigned Shift Variable Time Type Full time Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Cost Center 3125 Imaging Services (BLH) Agency Use Policy and Agency Submittal Disclaimer Bronson Healthcare Group and its affiliates (“Bronson”) strictly prohibit the acceptance of unsolicited resumes from individual recruiters or third-party recruiting agencies.
