Business Development Representatives

Krane Inc

Krane is the AI-powered procurement platform purpose-built for construction. We help general contractors, specialty subcontractors, and owner-buyers manage the chaos of material procurement — from long-lead equipment tracking to buyout execution to real-time supply chain visibility. We raised $9M in March 2026, count half of the ENR Top 50 contractors among our customers, and are building two core products: Material Management (for GCs tracking long-lead equipment across complex projects) and Procurement OS (for subs and OFCI buyers managing direct material purchasing). Our AI agents — Milo, Arlo, and Chase — automate the grunt work so procurement teams can focus on decisions, not data entry. Founded by builders who lived the pain of construction procurement firsthand, Krane is headquartered in Austin, TX with a growing Texas sales presence. We're entering hypergrowth and need hungry, coachable BDRs to help us land the next wave of customers. What You'll Do Create new business opportunities across GCs, specialty subs, and OFCI buyers in your territory Partner with an Account Executive to hit mutually aligned monthly sales quotas Engage construction professionals via phone, email, LinkedIn, and industry events to surface procurement pain points Conduct pre-call research using ENR rankings, project databases, and internal prospect lists to tailor every outreach Execute high-volume outbound: 60+ calls/day, personalized email sequences, and social touches Nurture inbound leads from content, webinars, and trade shows — qualifying against our ICP and routing to AEs Build targeted account lists and messaging with sales leadership for key verticals (data center, healthcare, commercial) Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene in HubSpot Attend regional construction events and trade shows to build relationships on the ground Operate beyond your role — help shape our outbound playbook, messaging, and sales process as we scale Who You Are Eager to build a career in sales, with genuine curiosity about how buildings get built Thrive in a collaborative, competitive environment — you lift teammates while crushing your own goals Committed to continuous learning: you read, ask questions, and get 1% better every day Self-aware and coachable — you digest feedback and adapt Friendly, enthusiastic, and empathetic in every interaction Live our core values: low ego, high output, no BS Comfortable with high call volume and engaging senior construction executives Organized and process-driven — you track your metrics and hold yourself accountable Bonus Points 2+ years of outbound sales or prospecting, ideally into construction, real estate, or infrastructure SaaS sales experience, especially at an early-stage startup Construction background — you've worked a jobsite, a trailer, or at a GC/sub Entrepreneurial mindset — you've built something from scratch Familiarity with procurement, supply chain, or material management workflows Bachelor's preferred but not required — we care about what you can do, not where you went to school What We Offer Competitive base + uncapped commission Meaningful equity in an early-stage, venture-backed company Medical, dental, and vision insurance Learning & development stipend for sales training, courses, and books Team offsites and in-person retreats throughout the year A tight-knit, high-energy Austin office where your voice is heard and your ideas ship Krane is an equal‑opportunity employer committed to building an inclusive environment where you can be you.
