Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychological assessments and develop tailored treatment plans to address individual client needs.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused techniques, to facilitate client recovery.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical records in compliance with state regulations and ethical standards.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including psychologists, addiction specialists, and wellness coaches, to create a holistic approach to client care.

• Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, treatment options, and coping strategies to foster empowerment and understanding.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest mental health research and advancements to continually enhance your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with adults facing mental health issues, including but not limited to trauma history, chronic anxiety, and depressive disorders. Our clients often seek help during vulnerable periods in their lives, particularly in their journeys through detoxification and recovery. You will play an integral part in helping them navigate these challenges and build a pathway toward mental wellness.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is mandatory to ensure a comprehensive understanding of clinical practices.

• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license issued by the state of Virginia is required.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health or social work setting is essential for this role.

• Proficiency in delivering solution-based psychotherapy interventions tailored to individual clients.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are critical for building rapport with clients and collaborating with team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience providing care within a detox center or addiction recovery environment is strongly preferred.

• Previous experience working with diverse populations and understanding the unique challenges they face in mental health is a plus.

• A background in trauma-informed care practices will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
