Work Environment

This position is fully remote, providing flexibility in your work schedule while working closely with school staff and administration. You'll utilize digital tools to collaborate with a variety of professionals and maintain consistent communication with students and their families. The ideal candidate will embrace a dynamic work environment that adapts to the needs of students and evidence-based practices in mental health.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to create a multidisciplinary approach to student welfare and academic success.
• Perform in-depth case assessments to identify students' emotional and psychological needs, developing individualized treatment plans that address their unique situations.
• Provide ongoing counseling and support to students through one-on-one sessions and group therapy, employing therapeutic modalities tailored to the school setting.
• Assist students in developing coping strategies and problem-solving skills to manage life challenges and promote resilience.
• Conduct workshops and seminars for students, staff, and parents on mental health awareness and crisis intervention strategies.
• Document all assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in mental health practices and policies, integrating new strategies into your practice and role.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will directly support a diverse population of children and adolescents, many of whom face significant life challenges including anxiety, depression, family issues, and trauma. Your therapeutic interventions will aim to foster emotional and psychological resilience, enhancing their ability to cope with the stresses of school and personal life. Working in collaboration with school staff, you will help create an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure in Virginia.
• Demonstrated skills in conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, and applying evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, preferably within a school or educational environment.
• Experience working with diverse populations and knowledge of cultural competency in mental health practices.
• Familiarity with school-based mental health programs and special education services.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
