OTR | Occupational Therapist

Education

Must hold current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT/L) from the appropriate state board.

Experience and Requirements

• Professional competency as a general practitioner of occupational therapy, with the ability to tailor functional goals and treatment techniques across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster cooperative relationships with patients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal.
• FIM credentialing must be obtained within the first 45 days of employment, requiring a minimum proficiency score of 80%, with up to three attempts allowed.
• Completion of Evacuation Training and training in Restraint, Seclusion, and Safety Devices is mandatory for clinical staff serving inpatient and outpatient areas.
• Physical ability to communicate effectively, assess patient status visually and auditorily, and safely transfer and transport patients of varying body weights.
• Capability to stand, bend, stoop, lift, turn, twist, sit, and walk frequently, demonstrating proper use and manipulation of equipment.
