About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Talent Officer (CTO) to lead the strategic development and implementation of a comprehensive talent management and acquisition strategy. The CTO will be instrumental in shaping the organization's next chapter, with a focus on elevating the school model, accelerating student achievement, and expanding the company's impact. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of high expectations, accountability, and support, and in building a proactive talent engine that can scale with the company's ambitions. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven leader with a strong background in talent acquisition and workforce strategy, particularly within complex, multi-site or multi-regional organizations. They should be adept at using data to guide decisions, highly relational, and collaborative, with the ability to earn trust and bring people along through change. Key responsibilities for the CTO include leading a major transformation of the talent function, setting network-wide talent acquisition and employer brand strategy, and building scalable recruiting systems. The successful candidate will also be responsible for team leadership, network partnership, and fostering a high-performance culture. Essential functions include overseeing HR and performance management, shaping compensation and rewards strategies, and ensuring strong employee relations and compliance. The CTO will be expected to have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and 12-15 years of progressive talent and HR experience, with a proven track record in building and managing high-performing teams. The role requires a leader who is passionate about the mission of the organization and is willing to travel regularly to stay connected with the teams and the work on the ground.
