Construction Superintendent

About Us BDI Marine Contractors is a growing, family‑owned marine construction company specializing in marine and heavy civil construction. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a hands‑on Superintendent to help lead our field operations and keep projects running safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Position Overview The Superintendent is responsible for managing day‑to‑day field operations on construction projects. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills to coordinate crews, subcontractors, and materials while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Responsibilities Oversee all on‑site construction activities from start to completion Manage and supervise field crews and subcontractors Coordinate schedules, deliveries, and equipment Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards Conduct daily reports, job logs, and progress tracking Communicate regularly with project managers and office staff Identify and resolve issues in the field quickly and efficiently Maintain quality control and ensure work meets project specifications Requirements 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in construction (marine experience preferred but not required) Strong leadership and team management skills Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices Valid driver’s license Willingness to travel for projects if needed Preferred Experience Working around water and barges What We Offer Competitive pay (based on experience) Growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding company Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (if applicable) Per diem and housing for out‑of‑town projects #J-18808-Ljbffr BDI Marine Contractors
