Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

In this contract position, you will lead a cross-categorical classroom at the elementary level, shaping the educational journey of students with diverse learning, behavioral, and communication needs.

Your role will combine structured instructional practices with creative problem-solving, as you develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with grade-level curriculum while meeting each student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals. You’ll collaborate closely with dedicated program aides, related service providers, and support staff to ensure students receive the personalized attention and specialized interventions they deserve.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification required
• Experience instructing elementary-aged students with cross-categorical disabilities preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong skills in differentiating instruction, utilizing structured teaching techniques, and providing multi-modal support (visual, sensory, behavioral, and communication)
• Effective interpersonal and collaborative skills for working with colleagues and support staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver grade-level instruction while adapting material to support IEP objectives
• Employ a range of supports, including structured teaching, visuals, and sensory interventions
• Implement behavioral and social-emotional strategies to promote optimal learning
