Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Support elementary students as a Special Education Teacher within a diverse, collaborative environment focused on meeting a wide array of learning and developmental needs. This contract position centers on cross-categorical instructional programming, primarily serving students in grades 1-2, including a significant number with autism. You’ll have the opportunity to plan and implement instruction tailored to grade-level standards while targeting individualized IEP goals. Classrooms are designed with built-in supports, including a dedicated program aide and access to additional support staff depending on student needs.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification required
• Experience supporting students with autism and a range of exceptionalities strongly preferred
• Background in delivering both academic and behavioral interventions
• Ability to develop individualized programs and collaborate on IEP goals
• Strong skills in using structured teaching, visual, sensory, and communication supports
• Excellent teamwork and collaborative problem-solving abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver differentiated instruction aligned with district and grade-level expectations
• Provide specialized support and interventions using evidence-based strategies
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom culture that celebrates individual strengths
• Monitor student progress and document growth towards IEP objectives
• Collaborate with related service providers, aides, and families to maximize student achievement
• Employ proactive behavioral and social-emotional interventions throughout the day
