Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a full-time, co-teaching role. This contract assignment offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with general education teachers and provide targeted instruction to diverse learners in an inclusive classroom setting.

Utilizing your LBS1 certification, you’ll design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), adapt curriculum, and help foster a positive and supportive environment for all students. This position is located near Berwyn, IL, offering the chance to develop professional relationships and gain specialized experience working within vibrant school communities.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with LBS1 endorsement
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Special Education or related field
• Prior experience co-teaching or collaborating with general education teachers is highly desirable
• Knowledge of best practices in differentiated instruction and behavior management
• Commitment to fostering equity, inclusion, and student growth
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-plan and co-deliver lessons to meet the needs of students with a range of abilities
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with students, families, and colleagues
• Track and document student progress, modifying strategies as necessary
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on interventions, accommodations, and assessments
• Provide support and resources to fellow educators regarding best practices for inclusion
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
