Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, reviewing their medical history and performing comprehensive assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Collaborate with patients and their families to explain evaluation findings, setting achievable goals based on mutual input.
• Implement and adjust treatment protocols as necessary, focusing on each patient's unique presentation and the changing healthcare landscape.
• Engage in interdisciplinary consultations with other healthcare professionals to improve patient care and monitor changes in patient conditions that may necessitate modifications in treatment.
• Complete discharge planning that includes the establishment of follow-up care and ensure all documentation of patient care activities is accurate and timely to comply with evolving healthcare regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our therapists primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, neurological conditions, and chronic pain management. Our aim is to empower patients through education, ensuring they are active participants in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients and their families.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and provide high-quality care based on best practices.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document patient care and progress.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
