Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full Time in Home Care Environment

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at LifeMotion Physical Therapy and Balance Center in Petersburg, Virginia. Work Environment

The position is based in a home care setting, allowing you to deliver hands-on therapy in the comfort of our patients' homes. This unique work environment fosters a personal connection with patients, enabling you to closely monitor their progress and adapt treatment strategies to their everyday circumstances. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic while making a considerable impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments to determine specific physical needs and conditions; utilize advanced techniques and tools to ensure accurate diagnosis.
• Design and implement detailed, individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, promoting optimal recovery and functional independence.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities and exercises, such as manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like ultrasound and electrical stimulation to aid in rehabilitation efforts.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols, expected outcomes, and encourage active participation for better recovery engagement.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of treatment strategies that yield positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes utilizing our electronic health record system, ensuring seamless communication and continual monitoring of patient advancements.

Our patients range from young athletes recovering from sports injuries to elderly individuals overcoming mobility challenges associated with aging or chronic conditions. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent from an accredited program, with a current Virginia state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• At least 2 years of direct experience in an orthopedic clinical setting is preferred, although we encourage enthusiastic new graduates to apply.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members, focusing on providing high-quality patient care.
• A proactive and positive attitude with a strong commitment to collaboration and partnership in a team-oriented approach.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with specialized treatment techniques for orthopedic injuries, pain management strategies, or post-surgical rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with using rehabilitation technologies or assessment tools relevant to physical therapy practices.
• Previous background in home healthcare or community-based rehabilitation settings is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges between USD 90,000 and USD 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We also provide continuing education support, with funding available between $1,500 - $2,500 for continuing medical education (CMEs), encouraging your ongoing professional growth and clinical excellence.
