We're looking for a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our community team and play a vital role in supporting residents, families, and operations through accurate billing and exceptional customer service. What You'll Do As our Billing Specialist, you'll oversee resident billing and accounts receivable for an assigned community while serving as a trusted resource for residents, families, and team members. Key responsibilities include: Manage all resident private pay billing and accounts receivable activities. Generate, review, and distribute monthly resident statements. Post invoices, charges, payments, and billing adjustments accurately. Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on delinquent accounts in accordance with company policies. Participate in Accounts Receivable review meetings and recommend collection actions when appropriate. Prepare accounts for collection agency submission when necessary. Verify insurance coverage and complete pre-authorizations for admissions. Maintain accurate census information, including resident admissions, transfers, and discharges. Ensure move-in documentation is complete and properly maintained. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent. Skilled nursing billing experience is required. Strong understanding of accounts receivable and private pay billing processes. Proficiency with computer systems and billing software. Previous experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare billing. Pay is commensurate with experience. Starting pay will be determined by skills, experience, and internal equity. Pay determined by level of experience and position-related competencies.
