Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patients' physical capabilities and rehabilitation needs.
• Document patient progress accurately and update treatment plans based on ongoing assessments to optimize care.
• Implement individualized treatment strategies that may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and modalities aimed at relieving pain and improving mobility.
• Work in conjunction with physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff to create a comprehensive care plan that addresses all aspects of a patient's recovery.
• Educate patients and their families on self-care techniques and home exercises that promote and maintain physical health.
• Stay informed about and comply with all relevant state regulations and professional standards to ensure the highest quality of care.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress and share insights that may enhance the therapeutic process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will work with a diverse patient population, including athletes, active adults, and elderly clients who require specialized care tailored to their unique physical challenges.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple patient cases efficiently.
• A proactive attitude toward professional development and continuing education opportunities.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, particularly in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
