In this full-time role, you will collaborate closely with licensed Physical Therapists to provide exceptional clinical care to patients with orthopedic conditions, enhancing their mobility and quality of life.

Work Environment

This position is onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility, where our dedicated staff collaborates to provide integrated care. You will work in a supportive atmosphere, alongside a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals. The working hours are typically Monday to Friday, with shifts from 9 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM, allowing for a balanced professional lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in thoroughly assessing patients' physical abilities, ensuring precision in evaluations that lead to tailored care plans.
• Implement treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists to improve patients' mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality.
• Utilize hands-on manual therapy techniques, as well as therapeutic exercises and modalities, to effectively address both musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
• Collaborate with various healthcare providers, including physicians and occupational therapists, to facilitate comprehensive patient care, enhancing team efficiency and patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, adaptive equipment usage, and injury prevention strategies, promoting continued recovery and health management.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and discharge recommendations, adhering to all regulatory guidelines and company policies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through training and seeking advanced certifications, ensuring continued excellence in care delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Possession of a current California Physical Therapist Assistant (CA PTA) license and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Physical Therapy Assistants is required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective patient interaction and collaboration with team members.
• Solid clinical assessment and treatment skills are necessary to provide outstanding care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, particularly in orthopedic settings, is highly preferred.
• Experience working in a hospital or outpatient orthopedic facility will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $70,000 annually.
