Work Environment

This full-time PTA position operates onsite within a well-equipped hospital setting focused exclusively on pediatric care. Our facility features state-of-the-art treatment areas designed to create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for children and their families. As part of our team, you will enjoy a structured week working Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, fostering a healthy work-life balance while directly impacting our young patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, developmentally appropriate physical therapy services to children from birth to adolescence under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist (PT).
• Assist in the implementation of tailored treatment plans, concentrating on enhancing strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and self-confidence in young patients.
• Engage children in exercises and therapeutic activities using creative, play-based approaches, ensuring that each session is both effective and fun.
• Track and document patient progress meticulously in conjunction with the supervising PT, leveraging technology and clinical tools to provide accurate updates on therapeutic outcomes.
• Actively collaborate with families and caregivers, providing education and support to reinforce the home care practices that align with therapy goals.
• Play a pivotal role in establishing a positive, safe, and inclusive clinic culture that accommodates children of all abilities, celebrating each achievement.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Eligible for or possess a valid PTA license in the state of California.
