Role Description The Pharmaceutical Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Massachusetts. This position is responsible for managing relationships with long-term care facilities, serving as the primary point of contact for pharmacy-related needs, concerns, and service requests. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting regular check-ins with facility leadership, monitoring service quality, coordinating with internal pharmacy teams, and addressing any issues that impact patient care or operational efficiency. The role involves reviewing utilization and performance reports, supporting contract implementation, and identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery. The Pharmaceutical Account Manager will also assist with onboarding new accounts, providing education on pharmacy processes, and ensuring that all activities align with regulatory and company standards. Qualifications Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term partnerships with healthcare facilities. Solid understanding of pharmacy operations, long-term care workflows, and basic pharmaceutical terminology (experience in long-term care pharmacy or healthcare account management preferred). Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clinical, administrative, and operational stakeholders. Proven organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple accounts, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Analytical skills to interpret service, utilization, or performance data and translate findings into actionable recommendations. Problem-solving mindset with a focus on service recovery, process improvement, and proactive issue resolution. Proficiency with common office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentation tools) and comfort learning pharmacy or CRM systems. Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, pharmacy-related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
