Senior Accountant

Overview Sycamores provides a spectrum of equitable mental health services through various programs to multicultural populations of all acuities. Although it serves a variety of consumers, the agency focuses primarily on providing care to low‑income, high‑risk youth. Salary 80,000 – 90,000 per year for full‑time employment (starting pay will be based on previous work experience and educational background). Duties and Responsibilities Manage cash flow forecast. Analyze and reconcile general ledger and sub‑ledger accounts. Prepare journal entries to support month‑end close. Manage fixed assets and depreciation. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and follow up on open items. Perform horizontal analysis. Prepare year‑end close schedules and assist with fiscal audit. Assist with implementing and maintaining internal controls and procedures in accordance with GAAP and Auditor‑Controller handbook. Participate in annual budgeting project. Perform other related duties as assigned. NOTE: The job duties listed are typical examples of the work performed by positions in this job classification. Accounting or Business Administration preferred. 2 years of relevant experience required. Additional Requirements Working knowledge of financial accounting systems, Blackbaud (Financial Edge) preferred. Familiarity with established accounting practices, procedures, and ability to evaluate financial processes. Knowledge and ability to interpret and apply Code of Federal Regulations Cost Principles (2CFRpart 200) preferred. Strong analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of internal controls (and Sarbanes‑Oxley as applicable).
