Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, while also incorporating occasional in-office responsibilities at our outpatient facility located in Jacksonville, Florida. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions or lead group therapy sessions either in-home or in our outpatient center, addressing the specific needs of youth and their families.

• Implement behavioral support techniques focusing on anger management, coping strategies, and social skill development. You will work with clients to minimize high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behaviors (SIB) and physical aggression.
\n
• Enhance decision-making capabilities in both youth and caregivers to effectively manage behavioral challenges at home, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
\n
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, fostering a holistic support system for families.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all therapeutic interactions, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
\n
• Participate in monthly staff meetings, contributing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily supports children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 years, especially those with developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will be working closely with families from diverse backgrounds, providing culturally sensitive care and actively engaging parents as partners in the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required for this role.
\n
• You must possess a current and unrestricted LMFT license to practice in Florida.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4 PM to 7 PM) is essential. Weekend availability provides additional scheduling flexibility.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavioral support, particularly in family therapy settings.

• Prior work with children and adolescents, including those with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD), strengthens your application.

• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle are mandatory for traveling to client locations.

• Candidates must pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, to ensure the safety of the vulnerable population served.

Compensation and Benefits\n
