Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Outpatient Focus

Position Overview

Muscular Movement Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in North Port, Florida. This full-time position is geared toward individuals who are passionate about helping patients regain mobility and achieve their peak physical performance. You will play a crucial role in enhancing patients' quality of life across various domains, including promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation.

Work Environment

As an onsite Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will work in a vibrant outpatient office setting in North Port. The work schedule will primarily be Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life integration. Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient feedback and initial evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their goals and needs.
• Maintain a manageable case load, averaging one patient per hour, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality care.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques to enhance patients' range of motion and mobility effectively.
• Implement evidence-based practices to minimize reliance on medications and suggest innovative non-surgical alternatives when appropriate.
• Design and execute customized fitness and wellness programs, working closely with each patient to meet their individual physical therapy requirements.
• Monitor progress through ongoing evaluations, timely adjustments to treatment strategies, and maintain effective communication with patients throughout their recovery journey.
• Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, such as WebPT, ensuring comprehensive patient care records.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to optimize patient outcomes through multidisciplinary approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our orthopedic focus serves a diverse range of clients who are recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their musculoskeletal systems. You will engage with patients at varying levels of mobility, from those requiring intensive rehabilitation to athletes aiming to enhance their performance post-injury. Your role will be integral in guiding patients through tailored recovery plans that respect their personal lifestyle goals and physical capabilities.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• A clean professional record with no history of disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrable proficiency in manual therapy techniques and experience in creating and implementing effective exercise programs.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to document and track patient care efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient physical therapy setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and lead innovative physical therapy programs tailored to individual patient needs and goals.
• Strong communication skills to effectively motivate and engage patients throughout their rehabilitation process.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 and 95,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer an extensive benefits package including:
