Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities, understanding their specific needs and goals to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to promote recovery and reduce pain.
• Monitor patient progress through regular evaluations, modifying treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Teach patients proper techniques for exercises, activities of daily living, and self-care strategies that encourage pain management and functional independence.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, discussing patient progress and adjusting care strategies as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans to uphold legal and professional standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will primarily treat adults recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. Your patients may range from athletes recovering from injuries to older adults dealing with joint replacements and degenerative conditions. This diverse patient population requires a therapist who is adaptable, understanding, and skilled in varying therapeutic techniques to meet individual patient needs effectively.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
• A minimum of three years of direct clinical experience in physical therapy, exhibiting a strong foundation in treating orthopedic conditions.
• In-depth knowledge of therapeutic interventions specific to orthopedic rehabilitation.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
