About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Information Technology, a pivotal role that demands a strategic and operational leader to oversee the enterprise technology organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of the company's technology strategy, ensuring it aligns with the strategic plan and supports the mission. This includes providing visionary leadership in IT, information systems, scientific computing, and cybersecurity services. The role also involves establishing technology governance, evaluating emerging technologies, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. The Executive Director will lead a department of approximately 17 staff, manage technology operations, and be at the forefront of risk management, including cybersecurity and disaster recovery. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and a minimum of 12 years' progressive leadership experience in IT. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise technology operations, including infrastructure, cloud services, and enterprise applications. Experience in scientific or research computing, as well as a proven track record in leading technology organizations, is essential. The role requires a leader with expertise in IT governance, enterprise architecture, and budget management, and a background in the life sciences, biomedical research, or related fields is a plus.
